The commercial jaggery is made using various harmful chemicals like Hydros (sodium hydro sulphites), Safolite (Sodium formaldehoide sulpoxylate) and artificial food colouring agents. The main purpose of using these chemicals is to remove impurities of sugarcane juice easily and to give the final product a bright and shining colour. To reduce the process time sugar is also added as a thickening agent. The above chemicals are basically used in textile, leather and paper industries as breaching agents. These chemicals are highly harmful for human consumption and damage our kidneys in the long run besides causing carcinogenic effects on the body.
The God Choice Jaggery powder has been made without the use of any chemicals. To purify the canned juice, we have used vegetable coagulants like okra pulp. Our process of making jaggery powder is fully organic. This jaggery has been handmade in small batches. To preserve the naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, polyphenols and flavonoids the jaggery powder has been prepared in iron woks.

White sugar is a highly processed industrial product and is excessively bleached with very harmful chemicals which causes striping of all the vital vitamins and nutrients from the product.
